Maybe you have seen all the commercials for the new Every Door Direct Mail service of the USPS. This is a great opportunity for businesses to market themselves through direct mail at a discounted postage price. You simply set up an account with USPS and you can ship your postcard to whichever postal routes you want. It is an effective way to promote your local business in your hyper local area.
While it sounds simple enough, you still have to have the card printed and delivered to the post office in a specific manner so they can distribute them to the carriers for the specified routes. The packaging requirements are very specific and any deviation can get your mailing refused. Also, you have to go to the post office and fill out the paperwork to apply for indicia to put on the mail piece, which will take up time and effort as well. Your time is valuable and getting your message out effectively and efficiently is very important.
